Catalogue Products / Services

DETAILED MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND SUPPORT PLAN:

CRV, Inc. and/or the OEM will warranty all products sold for a period of at least 30 days from the date of purchase. In some cases OEM warranties extend to one year; in these cases, CRV will assist end users in obtaining replacement or repair of items. Labor is not included.

Our POC for comments, complements, complaints or warranty issues will be our VP of Customer Services, Robert Klaerner. Robert can be reached at 210-828-8552 or on our toll free number of 800-929-8521. Our normal work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, C.S.T., Monday through Friday. Our telephone lines are monitored by an answering service seven days a week and 24 hours per day.

Scalable distribution

Distribution in small to medium enterprises (under 3000 desktops)

From a central software warehouse, ManageSoft distributes software, packages, policies, and schedules directly to distribution servers accessible by ManageSoft clients. Distribution is by any one of a number of standard file transfer protocols. No special software or hardware is required for distribution servers -- any file or web server with sufficient disk space can be used.

ManageSoft clients automatically download new and updated policies, schedules, and software from the nearest available distribution servers. Patented dynamic byte-level differencing ensures that only parts of files that have changed since the last update are downloaded, rather than downloading the entire application or file again.

Distribution in large enterprises

ManageSoft supports server-to-server distribution across multi-tier server hierarchies -- providing unlimited scalability for large organizations. Active server fan-out enables rapid large scale distribution. Leaf-node servers can remain as passive distribution servers if preferred. Client tracking data is fed back to the software warehouse over the same architecture or, for extremely large installations, using a parallel fan-in of collection servers. Client updates occur in the same manner as described for Distribution in small to medium enterprises, above.


Scalable bandwidth management

ManageSoft provides a comprehensive range of bandwidth management features to facilitate virtually unlimited scalability. ManageSoft enables:

  • Reduced download (and upload) sizes (with file compression and dynamic byte-level differential downloads)
  • Spreading of download demand (with flexible schedules enabling specification of random times within a defined period, such as overnight)
  • Bandwidth throttling between the software warehouse and distribution servers, and between distribution servers and client machines
  • Prioritization of distribution jobs (as high, normal, or low priority).

Scalable reporting

ManageSoft automatically delivers inventory and status reports to the administrator's database and reporting systems. The ManageSoft inventory capability integrates with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to check hardware details, and independently provides a complete report of every application end-user computers.

Automatic data collection -- with background upload across multiple connection sessions if required -- allows the administrator to audit software use, to arrange for adoption of PCs or laptops into management, and to control licensing.
